It is no more necessary either to associate the files of extension dvi and ps to the
programs dviwin.exe and gsview32.exe (nor dview.exe) to use these icons. It is
nevertheless convenient to do it, in order to be able to launch the appropriate
previewer automatically by clicking on a dvi or ps file name, in the Windows
Explorer. To do that, you must associate the program beforehand ast\
emtex\ dviwin\ dviwin.exe or ast\ astex\ dview\ dview.exe (Windows
3.x/9x/NT) or ast\emtex\dvipm.exe bin\ (OS/2) to the files with dvi extension,
by means of the option Fichier (File) | Associer (Associate) of the file
manager (Windows 3.x), of the option Ouvert par (Open with) | Autre
(Other) (Windows 9x/NT) or Association | Nouveau nom (New name)
(OS/2).
In the same way, you must associate the program ast\gs\gsview32.exe
(Windows 3.x/9x/NT) or ast\ps\gvpm.exe (OS/2) to the files with extension ps as
indicated above.
