


Test of the other utilities
3.6.1 Sinfo
Sinfo is a program for managing processes for Windows 9x. He/it is useful in case
of problem with Emacs (cf. sec. 4.11.2). To verify that it works correctly, click on the
button Sinfo of the
toolbar. If you work under
Windows 9x, you should get something similar to Fig. 4.1. Under Windows NTx
(4.0/2000/XP), this button has no effect.
3.6.2 Acrobat Reader
Click on the button AcroReader button of the
toolbar to verify that Acrobat Reader can be launched from the CD-ROM. This
version is used by navigator AsTeX to display the manuals in pdf form, even though
Acrobat Reader is already installed on your machine.
3.6.3 Netscape
Netscape permits to visualize html files. To verify that it can be launched from the
CD-ROM, click on the button Netscape of the
toolbar . If you don't want to install it, click on the button Annuler of the first
configuration panel of Netscape (cf. sec. 4.11.1).
