AsTeX 3.0 contains five new packages:

1. Alg: Computer Algebra. It contains three versions of MuPAD for Windows 9x/NT (MuPAD Pro, MuPAD Light and MuPAD Studio).
2. Assist: AsTeX Assistant (program to help using TeX under Windows9x/NT).
3. Num: Numerical Computation. It contains Scilab (interactive numerical calculation), the Fortran 77 compiler of the FSF, and the library Slatec of Fortran sub-routines, by the LANL and Sandia Labs.
4. Utils: Utility. It contains Directory Compare, DiskData, Pegasus mail, Serving Salamander, Sinfo, TeX2rtf, Treesize and Wzip.
5. View: Visualization of files of various formats. It contains Acrobat Reader 3.01 (pdf files), Netscape 4.05 (HTML files), and Qv (bitmap images and albums of images). Acrobat Reader 2.0 and Internet Explorer 3 are also included, not to be used directly, but because they provide certain useful or necessary system files for other programs of the distribution.
