LIFO (Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale d'Orléans) is a laboratory of the University of Orleans and ENSI Bourges, officially recognized and supported by the French Ministry of Research.
Within the current 2008-2011 4-year research development plan, LIFO is a Research Unit (Equipe d'accueil) EA 4022.
LIFO is deeply involved in the University of Orleans' MSC in Computer Science.
Research projects conducted at LIFO are concerned with Software Science and Information Technology. Their aim is to improve theories of computer programming and the associated techniques. LIFO researchers define, adapt and specialize numerous mathematical models of computation and of software.
The laboratory is structured around four teams:
