:Presentation of the team TOTEM

The team TOTEM (Travail, Organisation, Territoires et Mondialisation) of the LEO (Laboratoire d’Economie d’Orléans) is co-chaired by Thierry Baudassé and Christophe Lavialle. Thierry Baudassé is in charge of the scientific part (definition of the research themes, activities’ summaries, scientific projects), financial management and academic representation of Totem. Christophe Lavialle takes in charge the representation of Totem among civil society, in particular regional actors, locally and in its national representations. TOTEM includes 9 professors or associate-professors, 1 PAST, 2 engineers, 2 foreign fellow researchers (Calderon and Nenovsky), and 12 PhD-students, that is 26 persons.

1 – The team Totem intends to work on themes at the intersection of Labour Economics, Industrial Economics, International Economics and Development Economics. In particular, the team Totem focuses mainly on the analysis of the impacts of globalisation on labour (social standards, migrations) and the structure of territories and organisations. The team is pluri-field-friendly. It wishes to develop contacts with fellows in law, business, sociology and geography sciences, etc. It wishes to answer expectations of the civil society and aims to distribute its activity in a equilibrate way between fundamental research, contractual research and teaching. Finally, the team Totem welcomes particularly scientific relationships with foreign universities and international cooperation
