Université d'Orléans

International Development

The international training policy at the University of Orleans is closely linked to research and relies on the university’s 25 laboratories.

The four doctoral schools – Human and Social Sciences ; Health, Biology and Biochemistry ; Energy, Materials, Astronomy and Earth Science ; and Mathematics, Information Technology, Theoretical Physics and Systems Engineering – are major advantages of international cooperation due to the joint supervision of thesis.

Thanks to the signing of the ERASMUS charter, the university actively participates in the programmes proposed by the European Commission.  It also relies on certain ERASMUS partnerships to develop double degrees and thus widen its course offering on the international level and enrich its research partnerships.

The distinction of degree honoris causa from the University of Orleans has been awarded to a large number of researchers and lecturers with whom we have established strong partnerships in various fields of research.  The last ceremony took place in 2012.
