The IUFM hosts foreign students who intend to practice teaching skills in the framework of a study period or a school placement.

4-week practicum in Centre region

To promote foreign language teaching, every year we welcome trainees from our partners for a placement in local primary schools.  The interns perform about 24-30 hours of observation and accompanied practice per week, from Monday to Friday in one and attend related class with the possibility to visit and / or to teach in other classes.  We encourage the participation of trainees in the school life – accompanying class trips, joining the outing, teaching other subjects in the class (if his/her linguistic competence is suitable), joining extracurricular activities, etc.

Every Wednesday, the IUFM organizes an activity in the form of a workshop.  The topics are among others: the presentation of our local primary school and the national curriculum, an introduction to modern languages in schools in France and the appropriate methods, using children’s literature in teaching.
