The University of Orléans’ Assembly of Elected Students

The assembly is composed of elected students from the central councils (Administrative Board and Academic Council) as well as elected students from the University’s 11 divisions (Colleges, IUT and schools). It is a permanent framework for dialogue between all elected students and it submits proposals to university authorities through the student vice-president (articles 51 and 52 of the statutes of the University of Orléans).

The President of the University can discuss a subject of interest to student life with the elected students' assembly.

In accordance with the charter of the elected students' assembly adopted by the University of Orléans' Administrative Council on 11 February 2011, the student vice-president chairs the assembly. He or she is assisted by the secretary general of the assembly, who is elected among the members of the assembly.

Following the renewal in November 2022 of the University of Orléans’ central councils and the election of the student vice-president in January 2023, the new assembly of elected students will gather in February or March 2023.

In addition, the assembly of elected students that gathered on 9 November 2021 approved the creation of 6 internal themed commissions:

  • A social and health commission;
  • An environmental commission;
  • A training and mentoring commission;
  • A commission on student commitment and on the means allocated to elected representatives;
  • A commission on professional integration;
  • A culture and campus life commission.
