2023 - Clément Joubert 

Clément Joubert is conductor and artistic director of La Fabrique Opéra Val de Loire.

He was pleased to remind the new graduates that his mission as conductor is a bit like that of a project manager. For him, it is a matter of getting the orchestra to interpret what the composer has written, coordinating the musicians so that they perform the scores harmoniously for the audience.

He concluded by inviting the graduates to listen carefully to their colleagues, so as not to make false notes.

2022 - Marie-Amélie Le Fur

Marie-Amélie Le Fur had her left leg amputated at the age of 15 following a road accident. Although this accident shattered her dream of becoming a professional firefighter, she decided to rebuild her life through sport. Passionate about athletics from an early age, Marie-Amélie took to the track for the first time just 4 months after the accident.

Three-time Paralympic champion and world record holder in the long jump and 400 meters, Marie-Amélie decided to pursue both a sports and a professional career.

Employed by EDF since 2013 following her STAPS master's degree, she is also involved in various awareness-raising initiatives to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities. Since 2018, she has continued this commitment as president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee, which manages the French teams at the Paralympic Games and encourages the development and influence of parasports in France.

2020 and 2021 - Christophe Brizot

Christophe BRIZOT is the Regional Director of the ATOS group.

After graduating from a business school, he spent part of his career at STERIA before joining ATOS in 2008, where he held positions in business units ranging from pre-sales to delivery.

He invited graduates to commit themselves fully to digital transformation, a vector of employment and a gateway to the technologies of the future. In his message, he also urged them to cultivate their agility and combine the expertise they have acquired at school with the soft skills that will enable them to stand out in the world of work.

2019 - Barbara Lavernos

Barbara LAVERNOS is General Director of Operations at L'Oréal group. With a degree in engineering, she has built her career at L'Oréal in a variety of positions, from purchasing to R&D and production. She reminded us that the success of our actions often depends on good human relations.

She also emphasized to the young graduates the need to have ambition within a large company and to accept new challenges on a regular basis.

2018 - Didier MANSEAU

After graduating from INSA Lyon, Didier MANSEAU joined the COLAS Group in 1986 as a construction engineer. After holding various positions within the Group, he is currently Chairman of COLAS Ile de France Normandie and AXIMUM.

In his speech, Didier Manseau explained the diverse activities of the companies he manages, ranging from roads to building deconstruction and road signage. From the point of view of human relations and the promotion of young talent, he emphasized his constant desire to put his trust in young people to enable them to take on responsibilities in the company's departments.

The graduates who joined the group and were present at the ceremony can attest it.

2017 - Claire Pédini

Claire Pedini is HR Manager for the Saint Gobain Group. The company was founded in 1665 as the Manufacture des Glaces and soon took the name St Gobain. Since then, the company has built on its expertise to become a major supplier to the construction and industrial sectors, and its capacity for innovation has made it a world-renowned company.

Ms. Pedini assured the students that positions related to most of the school's specialties existed within her group, in R&D, manufacturing or sales. She stressed that the jobs that will exist in 10 years' time do not exist today.

2016 - Bernard Barussaud

A 1990 graduate of Polytech Orléans, Bernard Barussaud is Industrial Director of SAFRAN Transmission Systems in Colombes (92). This division of the SAFRAN group is the world leader in power transmissions for commercial airplanes with more than 100 seats. Bernard Barussaud began his career in manufacturing at SNECMA, before taking on high-level management responsibilities. He currently manages 1,200 people at 3 sites.

He reminded graduates that they should not seek managerial responsibilities until they had proven themselves in design and manufacturing.

2015 - Guy Meniscus 

A former student of Polytech Orléans, who graduated in 1986, Guy Meniscus is Managing Director of PGO automobiles in Alès, a company which designs and manufactures top-of-the-range cars in small series. Since graduating, G. Meniscus has been involved in a number of different companies, all of which are on a human scale, so as to stay close to the product.

In his speech, he encouraged graduates to be bold and down to earth in order to succeed.

2014 - Vincent Simonet

The sponsor of the 2014 graduating class of engineers from Polytech Orléans, Vincent Simonet, is YouTube Technical Manager for Google France. During his speech, he shared with the new engineers three adventures that have guided him throughout his professional career: taking on bold challenges, discovering foreign countries and living his passion.

All these factors encouraged the engineers as they entered the professional world.

2013 - Marc Brugière

The graduates particularly appreciated the originality and dynamism of Marc Brugière’s speech, the patron of the class of 2013 and EDF Regional Delegate. Originally an engineer from the École Centrale de Paris, Marc Brugière also holds a degree in history.

This multi-skill approach, which is encouraged at all levels of the school, whether scientific or not, has been highlighted as a major differentiating factor for new engineers.

2012 - Thierry Jacquin

Thierry Jacquin, Director of Operations in Western Europe at Inteva Products LLC, reminded the engineers in the class of 2012 of one of the principles of Japanese production: "The role of the Manager is to define the standard, teach it, ensure that it is applied, and when it is applied, seek to improve it".

He also insisted on the need to "Know how to listen, involve, take responsibility and make decisions, communicate them and ensure they are respected, without blaming others in the event of failure, and share success in the event of success".

2011 - Karine Berger

Karine Berger, engineer and economist, is co-author of the book "Les Trente Glorieuses sont devant nous" ("The Thirty Glorious Years Are Ahead of Us"). Ranked in 2010 by Capital magazine as one of "the young crackers who are preparing the next generation", she defends the idea that not everything is over for France, and that the country can return to economic and social success: innovation and training are at the heart of this debate!

She gave 3 pieces of advice to her 250 sponsorees from the class of 2011:
- Have the audacity to think for yourself and be curious, never get tired of asking questions in a world that makes it difficult to relate to others. Never let a ready-made thought impose itself on you.
- Don't be afraid of the rest of the world, because it is full of new things.
