The University of Orléans is taking part in a European strategic partnership that focuses on the rehabilitation of built heritage in a sustainable development logic (RE-BUILT : Rehabilitation of the Built Environment in the Context of Smart City and Sustainable Development).

Researchers from the eight universities of the consortium met in Orléans at the end of August 2019 for three days of working meetings. A whole day was held on the Chambord site.

This project is supported by the European Commission (Erasmus + program) for a period of 3 years; in Orléans, it is coordinated by Professor Dashnor Hoxha (Director of Civil Engineering and Geo-Environment at Polytech Orléans, PRISME laboratory).

The other participating universities are the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi (Romania, coordinator), the University of Seville (Spain), the Technical University of Brno (Czech Republic), the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Sofia ( Bulgaria), the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences of Vienna (Austria), the University of Cassino (Italy) and the University of Maribor (Slovenia).
