Université d'Orléans

Exonerations

The following categories are excluded from the exonerations procedures:

  • unregistered students
  • first-year basic law students
  • students registered for university diplomas and preparations for entrance exams
  • students who were absent from exams without leave in the course of the preceding year

The following categories are exonerated by rights (apart from the amount of the annual fees corresponding to the students' contribution to medicine - i.e. for 2012 - 2013: €5)

  • scholarship students in higher education or beneficiaries of an FNAU (national annual emergency aid fund), upon presentation of the conditional notice of attribution for 2012-2013, and conditional on the verification of their curriculum
  • French government scholarship students, upon presentation of their annual notice of attribution
  • wards of State, upon presentation of a certification from the local Department of Health and Social Affairs (DDASS)

Students who were unable to benefit from an exoneration because they were not in possession of the required documents on the date of their registration can claim a refund at a later date.

The following categories may be exonerated by individual decision of the University Vice-Chancellor:

  • students aged below 26 on 1 January 2013 and whose allowance is less than or equal to €760

CALCULATION OF THE ALLOWANCE:

(gross income of the parents + gross income of the student) / 12

number of persons attached to the fiscal household

Exonerations by individual decision requires the preparation of a blue file that you must collect at least 1 week before your date of registration from your Registrar or the Central Registrar. Once you have completed the file, send it, along with all the necessary documents, to the following address:

POLE AVENIR - Service Central de Scolarité
Maison de l'Etudiant - Rue de Tours - BP 6749 - 45067 ORLEANS CEDEX 2

Your application will be assessed and you will be informed of the decision by post. If your exoneration is accepted, you must produce the original of this letter in order to be exonerated from the payment of the fees when registering before 27 January 2013.

Caution: this internal procedure at Orléans university only applies to exoneration from the fees annually determined by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research.
National health insurance premiums are still due.
