Refunds

The following categories are excluded from the refunds procedures:

  • unregistered students
  • first-year basic law students
  • students registered for university diplomas and preparations for entrance exams
  • students who were absent from exams without leave in the course of the preceding year

The following categories are entitled to refunds by rights:

  • scholarship students in higher education or beneficiaries of an FNAU (national annual emergency aid fund), upon presentation of the conditional notice of attribution for 2012-2013, and conditional on the verification of their curriculum
  • French government scholarship students, upon presentation of their notice of attribution for 2012-2013
  • wards of State, upon presentation of a certification from the local Department of Health and Social Affairs (DDASS)
  • Students who have transferred to another university, upon presentation of payment of the registration fees in the other establishment. Orléans University keeps the nation transfer fee of €21 (in 2011-2012).
    Collect the yellow refund application file, complete it and return it to your Registrar with all the necessary documents before 17 May 2013.

  • student who cancel the registration before the courses start, minus the amount of administration costs applying to transfers
  • students who cancel their registration before 15 October 2012 in order to register with a public higher education establishment (BTS, CPGE) or after having passed the entrance exams for another public higher education establishment, in accordance with the ministerial memo of 10 June 1989 (e.g., nursing schools, physiotherapy schools, engineering schools, etc.), minus the administration fees applying to transfers.

The following categories may be entitled to refunds by individual decision by the University Vice Chancellor after verification of their allowance:

  • students aged below 26 on 1 January 2013 and whose allowance is less than or equal to €760

CALCULATION OF THE ALLOWANCE:

(gross income of the parents + gross income of the student) / 12

number of persons attached to the fiscal household

  • political refugees under the same conditions and upon presentation of their individual OFPRA card

Refunds by individual decision requires the preparation of a blue file that you must collect at least 1 week before your date of registration from your Registrar or the Central Registrar. Once you have completed the file, send it, along with all the necessary documents, to the following address before 29 January 2013:

Your application will be assessed and you will be informed of the decision by post. If the decision is in your favour, your Registrar will directly reimburse your registration fees.

Caution: this internal procedure at Orléans university only applies to exoneration from the fees annually determined by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research.
National health insurance premiums are still due.

 

The following categories may be entitled to refunds by individual decision by the University Vice Chancellor after examination by the refunds commission:

  • students with an allowance higher than €760, whose individual situation has changed since 1 January 2012, resulting in a drop in the family's income: death, divorce, unemployment or loss of income
  • students aged over 26 on 1 January 2013
  • foreign students whose family revenues are not taxable in France
  • Ph.D. students
  • students who cancel their registration at the IUFM for personal reasons, upon presentation of a justified written application, minus the amount of the administration fees applying to transfers

The following categories are excluded from this procedure:

    students who already possess a diploma and who enrol for another diploma of the same or a lower level

Refunds by individual decision further to examination by the commission require the preparation of a pink file that you must collect from your Registrar or from the Central Registrar. Once you have completed the file, send it, along with all the necessary documents, to the following address:
