The ATHENA alliance is among the 24 selected projects and has been allocated a budget of 5 million euros over 3 years. As a European University without walls, ATHENA will provide a space for the development of innovative teaching methods, student and staff mobility between the seven partners and the acceleration of cooperation in the field of training and research.

A great opportunity for the University of Orléans, the ATHENA alliance proposes to support the digital transformation in the service of a more sustainable and resource-efficient society.

The University of Orleans is widely open to international students, with 14% of students of foreign nationality, and nearly 90 countries represented.

Every year, nearly 500 Orléans students go to study or do an internship in 150 universities and partner companies located in Europe and outside Europe.

Teaching partnerships through double degrees, joint doctoral supervision, participation in international research programmes, and the hosting of foreign researchers are all assets that enable students to aim for international professional integration and enable the University of Orléans to be present and recognised well beyond our borders.
