Find all the important dates regarding equality and diversity at the UO for the current year. 


The University of Orléans deploys many actions for equality that are open to all the university community (students and staff members) and even to society as a whole. These actions aim at exchanging, raising awareness and informing on equality issues. 


September 2023

  • Monday 4 September 2023: Distribution of the back-to-school presentation by the University's Anti-Violence Unit to all academic divisions.
  • Monday 4 September 2023: Distribution of leaflets on the University's Anti-Violence Unit and its work.
  • Tuesday 5 September 2023: Information stand on the Anti-Violence Unit at the staff members’ welcome day.
  • From September 2023 to July 2024: Free sanitary protection available on the 7 sites of the University of Orléans.
  • Thursday 7 September 2023: Training for newly appointed Associate Professors (MCF) in preventing and fighting sexist and sexual violence.
  • Friday 8 September 2023: Training health relay students (ERS) in preventing and fighting sexist and sexual violence.
  • Monday 11 September 2023: Launch on the digital workspace (ENT) of the "Le bizutage, ça dégage !" awareness campaign against hazing.
  • Thursday 14 September 2023: Information stand on the Anti-Violence Unit at the Chartres Happy Campus Day.
  • Thursday 14 September 2023: Training for new teaching staff in preventing and combating sexist and sexual violence.
  • Monday 18 September 2023: Launch of the Introductory Course “Understanding and acting for equality”.
  • Thursday 21 September 2023: Launch of the "Le bizutage, ça dégage !" awareness campaign against hazing in all the University’s academic divisions.
  • Thursday 21 September 2023: Information stand on the Anti-Violence Unit at the Orléans Happy Campus Day.
  • Tuesday 26 September 2023: Training of members of the Legal Affairs and the Human Resources Departments in internal investigation procedures.
  • Thursday 28 September 2023: Information stand on the Anti-Violence Unit at the Châteauroux Happy Campus Day.

 

October 2023

  • Monday 2 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Orléans against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (College of Humanities on the Orléans Campus, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Tuesday 3 October 2023: Raising awareness among student associations of the risks of hazing and violence (at the Bouillon, from 6 pm to 8 pm). 
  • Monday 9 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Bourges against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (College of Law on the Bourges Campus, from 9:30 am to 12pm, and Bourges IUT from 1 pm to 4:30 pm)
  • Tuesday 10 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Issoudun against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Indre IUT on the Issoudun Campus, from 9:30 am to 3 pm)
  • Wednesday 11 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Chateauroux against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Indre IUT on the Châteauroux Campus, from 9:30 am to 12 pm, and Centre for Higher Studies from 1 pm to 4:30 pm)
  • Tuesday 3 October 2023: Training for the presidential team in the fight against sexist and sexual violence.
  • Thursday 5 October 2023: Raising awareness of the University's equality policies among team leaders and administrative managers
  • Monday 16 October 2023: Training for directors of academic divisions and laboratories in preventing and fighting sexist and sexual violence.
  • Monday 23 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Orléans against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (College of Law on the Orléans Campus, Medical Department, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Tuesday 24 October 2023: Awareness-raising workshops in Chartres against LGBTphobia in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Faculty of Education and Polytech on the Eure et Loir Campus from 9:30 am to 12pm, and Chartres IUT from 1 pm to 4:30 pm)
  • Throughout October 2023: Digital workspace (ENT) campaign on consent "Sans oui, c’est interdit".

 

November 2023

  • November 2023: Launch of an e-learning programme on preventing and fighting sexist and sexual violence
  • From Monday 6 November to Friday 1 December 2023: Come and discover the photo exhibition GO WOMEN on the fight against sexist and sexual violence (Hall of the College of Humanities)
  • From Monday 6 November to Friday 1 December 2023: Come and discover the exhibition by the National Museum of Education "Girls / boys: equality of chances" (Polytech, Vinci site)
  • From Monday 6 November to Friday 1 December 2023: Come and discover th exhibition "All jobs are mixed" (IUT Orléans)
  • From Tuesday 7 November to Friday 1 December 2023: Come and discover the photo exhibition GO WOMEN on the fight against sexist and sexual violence (University Library of Bourges)
  • From Tuesday 7 November to Monday 27 November 2023: Come and discover the exhibition by the National Museum of Education "LGBTI+: A little bit of history to fight against discriminations" (University Library of Law)
  • Tuesday 14 November 2023: Conference in partnership with CorpoDroit on caring for victims of sexual assault (College of Law, Economics and Management from 6pm to 8pm)
  • Thursday 16 November 2023: Screening of the movie "Carrie" by Brian de Palma (at Le Bouillon, 6-8pm, free admission with registration).
  • Week of 20 November 2023: Poster campaign against sexist and sexual violence
  • Week of 20 November 2023: Launch of the "Violentometer" bookmarks
  • From Monday 20 November to Friday 1 December 2023: Come and discover the exhibition "Deconstructing prejudices on sexist and sexual violence" (College of Science and Techniques, EGS Science Hall)
  • Monday 20 November 2023: Forum theatre sessions for students in Orléans to raise awareness of the fight against sexist and sexual violence.
  • Tuesday 21 November 2023: Forum theatre sessions for students in Bourges to raise awareness of the fight against sexist and sexual violence.
  • Tuesday 21 November 2023: Conference on "The History of the Mirabal Sisters" (Dominican Republic) (College of Humanities, from 10am to 12pm).
  • Tuesday 21 November 2023: Theatrical performance "Au nom de ma mère - La visite des papillons", based on the story of the Mirabal sisters (at Le Bouillon from 7pm to 9pm, free admission with registration).
  • Tuesday 21 November 2023: Educational & digital lunch for University staff members on the theme "How to make documents accessible for all students" (In the Learning Lab, between 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm)
  • Thursday 23 November 2023: DuoDay - A disabled person who is searching for a job or in training will form a professional duo with a staff member from the University.
  • Thursday 23 November 2023: Forum theatre sessions for students in Chartres to raise awareness of the fight against sexist and sexual violence. 
  • Friday 24 November 2023: Forum theatre sessions for students in Châteauroux and Issoudun to raise awareness of the fight against sexist and sexual violence.
  • Tuesday 28 November 2023: Show “Marie Curie, une quête radieuse” (at Le Bouillon, 7-9pm, free admission with registration).

April 2024

  • Tuesday 2 april 2024: Round table on "Raising awareness on verbal violence in sports" organized with the CVL League of University Sports, the STAPS department of the Faculty of Science, and the SUAPSE (Faculty of Science and Technology, STAPS lecture hall 1, 6pm) 
  • Monday 8 april 2024: Performance by La Flamme theater company on the place of women in Olympic and Paralympic history, in partnership with the local French Education Authority (Faculty of Law Economics and Management, Simone Weil lecture hall, 6pm-8pm, registration required).
