Thanks to the support of Mr Yang Jin, Minister Counsellor to the Chinese Embassy in France, and in his attendance, Mr Ary Bruand, President of the University of Orléans and Mr Yi Hong, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Central South University have signed a partnership for the creation of a Confucius Institute in Orléans (Région Centre Val de Loire). This project, supported by the city of Orléans, the Région Centre Val de Loire, the French Geological Survey and various economic players, will reinforce the learning of Chinese culture, language and civilization and will thus meet a real need for the many exchanges and collaborations in education (from secondary schools to the university), culture, tourism and economy. This Institute will participate in the scientific influence of the University of Orléans and Central South University and will foster an economic dynamics by multiplying the contacts between the cities (Orléans Métropole and Changsha) and the Regions (Centre Val de Loire and Hunan) and beyond.
