Honorary Doctorate from the University of Zagreb to Daniel Hagège, professor emeritus at the University of Orléans


On December 12th, 2018, Daniel Hagège, professor emeritus in biology – vegetal physiology was awarded a Doctorate Honoris causa by the University of Zagreb. This ceremony was attended by Mrs. Corinne Meunier, Ambassador of France in Croatia and Pr. Ary Bruand, president of the University of Orléans.
Daniel Hagège started to collaborate with researchers of the University of Zagreb in 1989. He worked tirelessly to strengthen the cooperation between the two universities of Orléans and Zagreb; in 2008 he created the Master of Bio industrial Techniques, a joint degree between the two institutions, which is considered to be a model of Franco-Croatian academic cooperation.
The universities of Orléans and Zagreb are bound by several Erasmus+ agreements and 2 Dual Degrees. At the occasion of this ceremony, the president of the University of Orléans and the Rector of the University of Zagreb, Professor Damir Boras signed a new academic agreement and have expressed their willingness to reinforce the collaboration between the two universities.
