Research

Ahmad Almhdie received the BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Al-Fateh University, Tripoli, Libya, in 1990, the MSc degree in Communication Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 1999. His MSc research focused on the efficiency of the TDMA/SDMA frame generation process when using a switched parasitic antenna arrays for indoor smart antenna systems [9, 11]. From September 1999 to April 2002, he joined the department of Electrical and Communication Engineering at the University of Sebha, Sebha, Libya, as an assistant lecturer. He then joined the LESI (Laboratory of Electronics, Signals, Images), Polytech'Orléans, University of Orléans, Orléans, France, from which he completed his PhD in 2007. His research interests include 3D image registration [1, 5, 6, 12, 13, 14], surface reconstruction [2, 3, 7, 8] and local comparison of 3D data, applied to medical imaging [4,10]. He is currently a Post Doctorate Fellow with the University of Orléans in the area of MRI for the reconstruction of Cerebral malformations of mouse models of Trisomy 21.
