19.3.2 Lexicon and Lexical Entries

The lexicon is a finite collection of lexical entries. A lexical entry is and AVM with signature:

\avm{{string}{\SETWORDS}{cat}{\SETCATS}{agr}{\SETAGRS}{roles}{\mbox{$2^{\text{\SETCOMPS}}$}}}

We write attribute access in functional notation. If e is a lexical entry: \STR(e) is the full form of the corresponding word, \CAT(e) is the category, \AGR(e) the agreement, and \ROLES(e) the valency expressed as a set of complement roles.
