Team leader: Stephane Mortaud
The general theme of the team has been developed at the INEM since 2010. It concerns the vulnerability of the nervous system to environmental factors during development, notably following chronic exposure to very low-dosage xenobiotics (pesticides, toxins, etc.) during gestation and early post-natal development.
This theme is thus included in the analysis of the xenobiotics risk which requires consideration of the vulnerability of early development and the long term effects of an altered programming on the nervous system. The main theme is the study of the effects of environmental agents potentially toxic at low doses, notably pesticides and the biotransformation products issued from these xenobiotics in the organism.
