The Pôle Capteurs et Automatismes (Sensor and Automation Pole) is a technology transfer structure of the University of Orléans, set up by the State and local authorities (within the framework of the CIADT's [Inter-ministerial Committee for land development and planning] records of decisions of 15 December 1998) for the companies in the Centre-Val de Loire region in the field of sensors and automation. Its objective is to maintain and increase industrial potential in this domain by developing an integrated research and technology transfer pipeline.
Here are the services offered by the Pole:
- identifying innovative R&D projects,
- identifying companies' needs when it comes to R&D,
- setting up partnerships,
- developing integrated sectors.
Through its role, the Pôle Capteurs federates and coordinates research projects on themes involving industrial partners and research laboratories. Founded in 2000, the Pôle Capteurs Automatismes made 62 projects possible, including 43 made by students writing their thesis. These projects made it possible to set up collaborations with research and industrial partners from all over the country.
