Covid-19 antigenic tests organised in the Centre-Val de Loire region
Antigenic tests allow you to know within 30 minutes if you are a carrier of the virus.
They are indicated :
- If you have been exposed to a risk of contamination 7 days before;
- If you want to know your situation before or after visiting your family;
- If you have had signs for 4 days or less (fever, cold, sore throat, headache, fatigue, aches and pains, cough, chest pain, abdominal pain, diarrhoea ...).
The test results are entered into the SI-DEP software (secure) by the health professional. The data collected in SI-DEP may be reused for health surveys (follow-up of patients diagnosed as positive for COVID-19 and/or search for "contacts"), for epidemiological surveillance purposes and for research work via the health data platform.
You can access your data, you can ask for your data to be rectified if necessary and you can object to the use of your data for research purposes by contacting the data controller (Direction Générale de la Santé: email@example.com).
In the event of a positive test, the contact-tracing mediator recovers the names of the contact cases at risk and enters them on the CPAM's CONTACT-COVID platform (secure access). The CPAM will then contact the designated persons.
Reminder contact case: person in contact for more than 15 minutes at less than 2 m without a type 2 surgical mask or USN 1 reusable mask by both persons. This definition may evolve over time with the appearance of more contagious variants.
A negative test does not mean with certainty that you are not a symptomatic or asymptomatic carrier. Indeed, the result depends on the viral load (quantity of virus present) in the nasal mucosa, and the tests are not 100% reliable (about 30% false negative). If you have persistent signs, you should be tested again (preferably PCR) 2 to 3 days later in isolation.
If your TAG (antigenic test) is positive, a PCR screening for variants of interest will be done at the same time with a second sample, which will then be sent to a laboratory. The result is given in 1 to 2 days.
