Our generic LOD algorithm reduces geometry using distance to view point and local surface roughness. The same LOD algorithm reduces texture using distance to view point with specific parameters and semantic criteria like gradient color. The genericity of our LOD algorithm facilitates embedding of new data to be visualized in our application. The use of different semantic criteria for data reducing makes possible selective adaptation to network loads. Here you can see that the more finest details for the texture are concentrated about at the center of the picture.
