INEX : Experiments on Cloud Computing

The INEx project aims at:
(a) the design of algorithms for the evaluation of relational queries on the Cloud,
(b) the optimisation of concurrent accesses to data in a Cloud environment by characterising coherence properties related to the type of data,
(c) the design of a global cost model taking into account the environmental impact of computations and its integration into a dynamic protocol of quality of service negotiation.
The theoretical solutions will be validated on Cloud environments: the ones of our partner IBM, Grid'5000 (http://www.grid5000.fr) and an experimental Cloud environment at LIFO funded by the local government of Loiret .
