Résumé :

Psoriasis is a long-lasting inflammatory skin disease that affects over 3% of the European population. These last years, important progress has been made to elucidate the immunology of psoriasis that truly changed the way of treatments. However, the total clearance is still far from being reached despite the long road of achievements and the significant improvement of patients’ lesions. Therefore, the overall objective of this thesis was to provide new therapeutic strategies to complement current drugs. The aim of the project was to get more insights on microRNAs and their interplay with cytokines as well as the identification of natural agents endowed with anti- proliferative properties. In this context, the defense presentation will be on the different studies that gave solid evidence on the correlation of microRNAs function with immune response in psoriasis. Moreover, the obtained results highlighted the contribution of microRNAs in regulating skin proliferation, differentiation, migration, and barrier function. Finally yet importantly, we identified a natural agent, which could restore the skin physiological status. The project outcomes disclose promising molecules that open novel therapeutic options in psoriasis treatments.
