Death by Concurrency
- an application to illustrate that concurrency in Oz is very cheap
./Death.exe --threads=N --times=M
- creates N threads, then forces M context switches per thread
- this application exercises the worst case in a concurrent design:
- very many threads
- all are active
- in typical applications, most threads are suspended waiting for
data
