DOING : Intelligent Data

DOING is an action which promotes collaborative work in databases, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. DOING comes in different flavours, being the driving force of regional or national working groups (in the networks RTR-DIAMS and MADICS) or  workshops as events in important conferences of associated domains.

DOING work focuses on transforming data into information and then into knowledge. Discussions are around two main problems:

  • how to extract information from textual data and represent it in knowledge bases;
  • how to propose intelligent methods for handling and maintaining these databases with new forms of requests, including efficient, flexible, and secure analysis mechanisms, adapted to the user, and with quality and privacy preservation guarantees.
