Conference location

STACS 2016 will take place in Orléans, France, on two locations easily accessible from the downtown hotels. Precise location is available on the map below.

On Wednesday, the tutorial session takes place at the Hôtel Dupanloup, downtown close to the cathedral. A casual Welcome reception is organized Wednesday evening at the Delirium Café, downtown, by the Loire river. You can register at both locations.

From Thursday to Saturday, the conference takes place on the campus (30 minutes by tramway from downtown, tramway A, direction Hôpital La Source, station Université Château). Tram tickets are provided in the conference pack. Lunches will be served on the premises of the conference.

On Thursday, the Social Event will be held at 18:15, at the Hôtel Groslot (Place de l'Etape, near the cathedral).

On Friday, the bus departure for the Conference Dinner is at 19:30 in front of the theater (Théâtre d'Orléans), Boulevard Pierre Segelle, crossing with Boulevard Aristide Briand. The dinner will take place at the Restaurant Le Week-end, in Chécy.

Travel information

Orléans can be reached from Paris by express trains in about one hour. From the airport (either Orly or Roissy Charles de Gaulle) you need to reach Gare d'Austerlitz (the train station) by RER (suburban train), then take a train to Orléans.

RER tickets can be purchased at the airport (using cash or credit card). To save time, you can buy both tickets (including the return one) in the meantime. The same kind of ticket can be used in both directions (Airport → Paris or vice-versa).

Aéroport d'Orly → Gare d'Austerlitz:

1. Take the bus shuttle "Paris by train" to the "Pont the Rungis" station of RER C.
2. Take the RER C to Gare d'Austerlitz (heading for Pontoise or Montigny-Beauchamp).

Aéroport Roissy Charles de Gaulle → Gare d'Austerlitz:

1. Take the RER B to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (heading for Paris).
2. Take the RER C to Gare d'Austerlitz (heading for Saint-Martin d'Etampes, Dourdan-la-Forêt or Versailles Chantiers).

Gare d'Austerlitz → Orléans: The simplest option is to take a train to Orléans Centre, which is at walking distance from most hotels. Another option is to take a train to Les Aubrais, from where you can reach Orléans by tramway. The "Intercités" trains are faster than the "TER".

Train tickets can be purchased at the train station, from the yellow booths (only by credit cards with chip) or from the desk. Tickets are usually "open" (you can use them on any train, during several days, but do not forget to punch them before boarding the train).
