EA 1210 CEDETE (Study Center on the Development of Territories and the Environment) is a long-recognized laboratory at the University of Orléans, heir to the CERCAR founded by Dean J. Mirloup. Expertised by the HCERES in April 2017, it has been accredited for a new contract starting January 1, 2018. Located on the Orléans - la Source Campus, it also brings together members of the Bourges IUT and Chartres IUT (as well as the Châteauroux IUT before August 31, 2014). As part of the Multi-disciplinary Institute Themed “Humanities Cultures and Societies” of the University of Orléans, CEDETE is part of the humanities and social sciences scientific field; most of its members are geographers, and sociologists and psycho-sociologists, both full members and doctoral students, also work within the laboratory.
