Welcome to the Indre IUT
Anchored in its region for 30 years, the Indre IUT, a member of the University of Orleans, has become a major player in training geared towards growth sectors such as commerce, management, logistics, industrial engineering, renewable energies, associations, and so on. As Director of the Indre IUT, I intend to consolidate this position by listening to our natural partners, the companies.
Indeed, I am well aware of the vital role played by companies in our training programs, as lecturers, members of our decision-making bodies and recruiters of trainees, apprentices and graduates. I hope that the IUT will continue to be their privileged partner in developing the skills of these economic partners, in terms of training programs, graduate pools and economic and technological monitoring through our research projects.
With this professionalization in mind, our BUTs and our Professional Degrees are also available as apprenticeships. Nearly 20% of our students choose this route and are recruited by both local companies (PGA, Zodiac, Barilla, MBDA, etc.) and national chains (Leclerc, Caisse d'Epargne, GEFCO, etc.).
Moreover, as I am convinced of the need for young people to gain experience abroad during their training, international mobility is another of our priorities. Every year, between 5 and 10% of our students benefit from this opportunity, either through a semester in one of our partner universities (Ireland, Canada, Finland, etc.) or through an internship (Spain, Norway, Romania, etc.). I want to strengthen our current partnerships with European and North American countries, but also work to open up to countries with promising economic potential, such as China, Brazil, India, etc.
Finally, to reinforce the attractiveness of our department and the Centre Val de Loire region, our teaching team, made up of teacher-researchers, associate professors and professionals, is constantly striving to guarantee a demanding university education in order to improve the recognition of our students' knowledge and skills, based on constructive collaboration with secondary schools and guidance organizations.
Our IUT, with its human scale, located on two sites, Châteauroux and Issoudun, and offering varied and accessible sports and cultural activities, offers current and future students all the advantages of a fulfilling student life and local support.
