For its 7th edition, DiLL becomes M-DiLL!
Building on its experience in supporting the digital transformation of organizations and implementing innovative teaching practices, M-DiLL, led by the University of Orléans, the University of Tours, and INSA CVL, also aims to position itself as a key player contributing to the promotion of research laboratories in the Centre–Val de Loire region.
Strengthened by the success of its first six editions, DiLL becomes M-DiLL and, with the support of the MINERVE project, intends not only to continue its work with companies and organizations across the region, but also to broaden its scope of action toward research laboratories.
M-DiLL helps you bring together multidisciplinary working groups around concrete projects. These groups are composed of students from complementary academic backgrounds, supported by a teacher-researcher and a project mentor.
In practical terms, the goal is to have M-DiLL student teams work on three types of projects:
- Projects focused on hybrid teaching challenges, in collaboration with teaching teams (teachers, module coordinators, program directors), and built on an innovative educational model: supervised online modules, the interactive strength of in-person learning, project-based pedagogy, enhanced engagement through gamification…
- Projects addressing the digital transformation of businesses, associations, and local authorities (topics such as e-commerce, connected devices, the factory of the future, digital creativity and organizational impact, HR and digital transformation).
- Projects connected to academic and/or applied research (research laboratories, R&D departments…).
Over six seasons, this initiative has already enabled the completion of 210 projects thanks to the work of more than 900 students from INSA CVL and the Universities of Tours and Orléans, supported by expert teachers and committed industry mentors.
The 2025-2026 schedule
At the heart of the initiative: project-based work within multidisciplinary student–company teams
For five months (from October to March), project teams made up of students from all disciplines, business leaders and employees, or stakeholders from the socio-economic world, work together on a specific challenge under the supervision of a teacher-researcher.
M-DiLL also includes an innovation challenge that rewards the best projects with several prizes.
Three key milestones bringing students and project leaders together, with a collaborative platform and resources
The M-DiLL program is structured around three major events that foster interaction between students and project leaders: the M-DiLL Bootcamp, the M-DiLL Day, and the M-DiLL Fest.
Project teams use these events to review progress and benefit from expert insights on themes related to their challenges.
In addition to these moments, a dedicated collaborative platform supports project supervision by teacher-researcher tutors and ensures follow-up through integrated communication and collaboration tools.
Participants also have access to M-DiLL training modules covering a variety of topics related to digital and cross-disciplinary skills.
M-DiLL: a springboard towards digital economy and new innovation practices
The M-DiLL project has three main objectives:
- To develop innovative higher education programmes that better prepare students for the new digital economy and its many challenges.
- To encourage the adoption of new innovation practices (agility, user experience, effectuation) and to support the transition towards new economic models.
- To raise student awareness of research and inspire new vocations.
For participating project leaders, M-DiLL helps develop their digital skills, and provides support in transformation or improvement initiatives that can drive growth, help in the evolution of practices, and lead to innovation.
For students, it represents an opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams on operational projects and gain real-world professional experience.
Participation in the projects is supervised by an educational collaboration agreement signed by all parties involved: the University of Orléans, the project leader, the students, and the supervising teacher who tutors the project team.
Within this framework, participating companies are asked to contribute financially: project fees range from €500 to €2,000 depending on their situation.
You are a business, association, local authority, an educational institution or a research laboratory, and you are interested in the M-DiLL program? You have a project (or an idea for one) to submit to our students?
A new call for projects campaign will open in May 2026 for the next academic year.
This initiative has received financial support from the French government, managed by the National Research Agency, under the France 2030 program.
