Who Can Become an Adjunct Lecturer?

♦ Civil servants of the State, of local governments or of public hospitals currently working

 

♦ Civil servants of the State, of local governments or of public hospitals on secondment 

  • 96 hours equivalent to TDs per year at most

 

♦ Civil servants of the State, of local governments or of public hospitals on secondment who can justify a current professional activity

 

♦ Contract workers for the State, local governments or public hospitals on a fixed-term contract (CDD) or a permanent contract (CDI)

 

♦ Private sector employees with at least a 900 effective working hours for the same employer

 

♦ Company directors, provided they can demonstrate that an accounting year has been closed by September 1 of the academic year concerned, and supply proof of the existence of the business as well as evidence of tax compliance, such as:

  • CFE notice for year N-1
  • A certificate from a chartered accountant confirming that the director has derived sufficient and regular income from their self-employed activity for at least three years
  • A certificate of tax compliance available on the website impots.gouv.fr

 

♦ Self-employed professionals and micro-entrepreneurs, provided they supply proof of the existence of the business and evidence of tax compliance, such as:

  • CFE notice for year N-1
  • A certificate from a chartered accountant confirming that the director has derived sufficient and regular income from their self-employed activity for at least three years
  • A certificate of tax compliance available on the website impots.gouv.fr

 

♦ Freelance performing arts professionals, provided they supply a certificate of entitlements issued by France Travail and proof of sufficient income earned during year N-1.

 

♦ Doctoral students except the ones specified in the Who cannot become a temporary lecturer? section

 

♦ Pensioners except the ones specified in the Who cannot become a temporary lecturer? section
