2021

ARD Heritage Intelligence Program,
Center for Advanced Renaissance Studies (UMR 7323)

As part of the Heritage Intelligence Program, and in close collaboration with the IV-PRISME laboratory team (Multi-disciplinary Research Laboratory in System Engineering, Mechanics and Energy - University of Orléans), the research engineer's main task will be to carry out an in-depth analysis of data collected as part of an eye-tracking study to investigate the behavior of the public when discovering paintings, as part of the APR-IR TIC-ART (Image Processing for ART) program.

The engineer will work with the digital team of the ARD Heritage Intelligence Program and the TIC-ART project teams, including the project's scientific leader, Aladine Chetouani.
This main mission will be broken down as follows:
The person recruited will be responsible for overseeing the development of the database with the PhD student, analyzing the coherence of the data collected, analyzing in depth the oculometric data by comparing the different audiences in order to identify the different behaviors.

  • Experimental study of turbulent-combustion interaction for premixed flames of various NH3/H2/CH4/air blends

The European H2020 FLEXnCONFU project (22 partners, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/884157/fr) aims to  demonstrate the conversion of electricity surplus into alternative fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen via a P2X system able to increase the flexibility of fossil fuel power plant reducing at the same time their environmental impact. One Work-package, leaded by Cardiff University (WP2) is dedicated to combustion system compatibility with non-conventional fuels with one part focused on CFD-DNS/LES studies. But the turbulent-combustion interaction for NH3/air, NH3/CH4/air, CH4/H2/air mixtures is absolutely not well known and few data are currently available [1-3]. PRISME Laboratory  is in charge of the fundamental combustion study in order to provide reliable data for CFD development and guidelines for the combustion chamber design of the next gas turbine generation. Please see details in the file below.

  • Numerical simulation of dust cloud formation in a closed vessel.

The ACXEME ( Ignition, Combustion, Explosion, Environment and Energy Materials) industrial chair is a brand new research program, selected in June 2019 by the French National Research Agency (ANR). It is headed by a teacher-researcher from the Bourges IUT. The chair will focus on the optimization of explosive and propulsive energy systems, integrating today's environmental constraints and anticipating those of tomorrow. The challenges in terms of materials, systems and energy will be tackled by the consortium of industrialists MBDA France, Nexter Munitions and ASB Aerospatiale Batteries on the one hand, and researchers from the PRISME and ICARE-CNRS laboratories on the other.
