Specific platforms for
- the validation of methodological approaches
- the validation of the concepts studied in the design
- the control of micro-robotic systems
Contact and/or non-contact micromanipulation platforms have been developed in partnership with industry for medical applications involving the targeted delivery of therapeutic vectors into the confined biological environments of the human body (cochlea, eye, blood vessels and brain).
A contact micromanipulation system using 6-degree-of-freedom AFM tips has been developed for use in the manipulation and characterization of biological and neuronal cells. And a 5-degree-of-freedom magnetic micromanipulation system for controlling medical microrobots. The latter is used to deliver therapeutic vectors for cancerous tumors.
