Tailor-made program for groups of French as a Foreign Language teachers
The Institut de Français designs a program adapted to the needs of the group of teachers. This program combines teaching and cultural tourism in the heart of the Loire Valley and its castles, just 1 hour from Paris.
A program to:
- Reflect on your educational practices, experimenting new ones and get to grips with new resources;
- Explore the city of Orléans and the châteaux of the Loire Valley region.
Examples of pedagogical units:
- Creative practices to approach written and oral teaching differently: creative writing workshop and theatrical practices;
- Teaching about the current French society and culture with contemporary material;
- Leading playful and collaborative activities using digital tools;
- Teaching FLE by exploiting the media.
This program will take place at the University of Orléans.
Cultural programme:
You can also combine your program with cultural visits, such as a day trip to the Loire castles of Chambord, Blois, Chenonceau and Amboise. You can also discover Orléans' heritage through unusual tours, from the underground crypts of the Middle Ages to the heights of the cathedral.

Who is it for?
The course is designed for foreign teachers of French. We can organize taylor-made programs for groups of at least 10 people.
Prerequisites :
Must be 18 years old, be a teacher of French as a foreign language, have B2 acquired.
When :
Stays and programs can take place all year round, except during university vacations.
Program:
The IDF offers a program combining teaching content and cultural visits. Course content and cultural outings are adapted to the needs of the group. If required, we can focus on a specific skill or theme, for example.
