“Sustainable Performance” Area: Research conducted within this area pursues several ambitions. First, it aims to better understand the deciding factors of human performance, whether athletic or of another nature (for example during a standardized physical exercise, a motor and/or cognitive task, or in a more ecological situation). It then seeks to optimize performance by proposing training methods, learning approaches, or specific techniques. Assessing the effectiveness of these methods and techniques is an essential step in this research. Another goal is to ensure the long-term sustainability of performance. To achieve this, it is necessary to explore ways to keep athletes or individuals required to perform “in good health.” The objective is to improve efficiency and well-being while minimizing negative impacts on health, as well as on the environment and society.
