Dominique NELSON-GRUEL

Dominique NELSON-GRUEL received the master degree in Automatic Control and Mechatronics, Automotive, Aeronautics & Space from the University of Bordeaux, France, in 2005. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Automatic Conctrol in 2009 from the University of Bordeaux, France under the direction of Mr. Oustaloup and the supervision of Mr. Lanusse.


Following this, he spent a year as a post-doctoral fellow at the French Institute of Petroleum and New Energy (IFPEN) and two years at Parrot as an R&D engineer working on flight control and altitude estimation of UAV.

Since 2012, he is an Associate Professor of the PRISME laboratory (Energy, Combustion and Engine axis) and teaches control and estimation courses at University of Orléans (Bachelor of Science and Technology, Master of Controls, Robotics and Signal). He is currently the Head of the Master of Controls, Robotics and Signal.

His research interest includes powertrains and automatic control, particularly optimal control, robust control and estimation.
