  • 1996:   PhD in Physics obtained at the Ruhr-University Bochum. Thesis title: “Surface wave propagation in inhomogeneuos plasmas”
  • 2008:   Habilitation (according to German research system), Faculty for Physics and Astronomy, Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Title: “Reactive complex plasmas”.
