Epigenetics Axis

Research activities:

My research interests cover the fields of evolutionary genomics and plant biology, with a particular focus on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying species diversity and adaptation. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of repetitive sequences (transposable elements, endogenous viral elements, satellite sequences) and their role in the structure and function of genomes that promote species diversification. I develop bioinformatics tools that enable me to analyze omics data from various perennial plants with complex diploid and polyploid genomes (poplars, citrus, and spartina grass).
