Two major multi-disciplinary projects, in which I'm a partner, focus on the theme of swimming underwater. These projects also have in common the joint study of perceptual, biomechanical and physiological parameters under ecological (real) swimming conditions. The ANR NePTUNE project is devoting an entire Work Package to optimizing the underwater stroke trajectory (including energy impact and apnea management) of French Olympic and Paralympic swimmers (Paris 2024). The U-SWIM project (ANR equivalent in Spain) is studying underwater swimming (and apnea) in elite swimmers, under conditions of normoxia and moderate (natural) altitude hypoxia.
