DEFFICO: Defense, Training, Engineering, Co-Design
This project is part of a partnership between the University of Orléans and the National Defense Sports Center of Fontainebleau (CNSD). This center trains experts in military and sports physical training (EPMS) from the Air Force, Army, Navy, and police force (Gendarmerie). Its ultimate goal is to prepare instructors and senior instructors, both mentally and physically, so they can train soldiers for combat. The quality of these instructors is therefore crucial and constitutes one of the major stakes of this action-research project.
This is an action-research protocol grounded in ergonomic approaches—that is, research that aims to understand an existing training system while transforming it through a collaborative and interpretative process. A student is currently being recruited for this project.
