The Academic Council's Research Commission proposes research and development policy guidelines to the Board of Trustees. It is made up of 40 members, including teacher-researchers, professors, administraive and technical staff, students and personalities from outside the institution. Staff representatives are elected for four years, student representatives for two years.
Its missions:
- It distributes the resources earmarked for research as allocated by the Board of Trustees and subject to the strategic framework for its distribution, as defined by the Board of Trustees.
- It sets laboratory operating rules and is consulted on agreements with research organizations.
- It adopts measures to enable students to develop activities to disseminate scientific, technical and industrial culture.
