This volume brings together five studies devoted to the analysis of specific cases of paratextual mediation in Golden Age Spain. The aim is to study the relationship between biography and paratext in this period. Two figures from antiquity, the poet Anacreon and the Father of the Church Tertullian, are studied, along with two others from the modern era, Lope de Vega and Quevedo. How, from the paratext onwards, does biography shape the reception of the works? What image do the paratexts of the Golden Age paint of these authors?

Littératures dominicaines en mouvement
Les performances littéraires de Rita Indiana et Rey Andújar
By Catherine Pélage.
This book looks at literature that is little-known in Europe, and explores the productions of Rita Indiana and Rey Andújar. They were born in the Dominican Republic in 1977 and live outside the country, in Puerto Rico and Chicago. They are writers, but Rita Indiana is known as a singer, and both are performers, which influences their spectacular literary works. The concept of literary performance, defined as writing based on the central presence of the body in movement, a desire to open up to the world and decompartmentalize, enables us to apprehend these texts, which defy current canons, destabilize official discourse and rethink current issues.

Supervised by Thomas Pughe, Karin Fischer, Claire Decobert and Mathieu Bonzom.
Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2020.
This collective work offers personal experiences and critical reflections on the “usefulness in today's university” of intercultural research and teaching. It brings together academics from South and North America, Africa, Asia and Europe who are interested in foreign languages and cultures, particularly French, English and Spanish. The debate on the crisis of the humanities has been revived in the face of new structural, human and financial constraints imposed on universities, as well as the redefinition of pedagogical and scientific activities.
