Students in Preparatory Classes for the Grandes Écoles (CPGE)

Contenu de la page principale

If you are enrolling in the first or second year of a Preparatory Classes program, you are required to be simultaneously enrolled at the university from 15 September at 10:00 a.m. until 15 October 2025.

This dual-enrolment system, enforced by the July 2013 Law on Higher Education and Research, is based on the mutual recognition of students’ academic achievements.

It therefore enables CPGE students to:

  • access a wide range of possible transfer pathways during their studies in Preparatory classes, while retaining the benefit of the courses completed in CPGE;
  • obtain a higher education degree through credit recognition and gain access to courses within a university program.

Instructions will be sent to the CPGE administrative office of your high school at the start of the academic year.

Registration process

Before any registration in a French University, students must pay the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC) to the Crous.

Payment confirmation is mandatory for all students registered in initial training, whether they were exempt or not.

Registration fees at the University are set annually by decree. Scholarship students can be exempt of tuition fees.

Please note that you can check your 2025-2026 registration or edit your registration summary at any time.
