A plan to strengthen the fundamental values of our Republic.

Starting in 2021, a first ambitious action plan was drafted around four key areas:

  1. Reducing pay gap between women and men;
  2. Ensuring equal access between women and men to bodies, job descriptions, grades and positions;
  3. Promoting a balance between professional, personal and family life;
  4. Preventing and addressing discrimination, violence, moral or sexual harassment, and sexist behavior.

The first Action Plan of the University of Orléans led to real progress in terms of equality, such as a 11.5% reduction in the gender pay gap and a final professional equality score of over 80%, placing our university above the targets set by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The concrete advances achieved through this first plan are both numerous and undeniable, and we wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to their implementation.

However, there is still progress to be made to achieve full equality between women and men within our university. Building on nearly five years of experience, we must now adopt a second Equality Action Plan—one that expands the scope and impact of our initiatives across multiple dimensions.

The 2025–2027 Action Plan for Professional Gender Equality is based on a renewed project governance structure and includes transformative actions in new areas, with the goal of bringing about a deeper and lasting evolution in our daily practices towards true equality for everyone.
