The Training’s Objectives

he Master - Management des Systèmes d'Information (MSI) in Data Sciences and Strategy at the IAE Orléans - University School of Management aims to train consulting professionals in the fields of information systems and data sciences. The course provides cross-disciplinary knowledge of business management, as well as the technical and methodological skills needed to process and model management information for decision-making purposes, in a database, network and enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment.


The program lies at the intersection of Management, Business Administration and Computer Science, which is reflected both in the knowledge taught and in the research activities of the teacher-researchers involved in the program. This program has a significant advantage on two major levels: on the one hand, its relevance to the skills demanded on the job market, and on the other, its complete alignment with the digital transition of companies and organizations.

Work-study

The first year of the Master's program is open to in formal and continuing education program..

The second year of this master’s degree is available both in a work-study programme and in a continuing education program.

Work-study (with an average rhythm of 3 weeks in the company and 1 week at the IAE) allows students to prepare in a concrete way their entrance on the job market and forms a true factor of professional pre-integration.

Ideal candidates are those who combine cross-disciplinary know-how in the fields of IT, information systems and data science, with solid managerial skills. The ability to understand and manage information technologies while having a strategic vision and the ability to make informed decisions has become essential. Pre-requisites

Access in first year (M1):

Access to the first year is selective. It is particularly aimed at applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences or a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management. 

After studying the academic file, applicants are invited to an interview. The final admission is decided when the applicant obtains an apprenticeship or a professionalization contract whose missions have been validated by the educational manager.

The e-candidat procedure replaces the transfer, accreditation of learning and access procedures for foreign students with a foreign degree. 

Access in second year (M2):

Access to the second year is based on the applicant's file, for applicants who have completed the first year of the Master's degree in the field of Management Sciences with a specialisation in Information Systems. The final admission is decided when the applicant obtains an apprenticeship or professionalization contract whose missions have been validated by the educational manager.
