Located within the University of Orléans, the House for Science ("Maison pour la science") in Centre-Val de Loire is a place of encounters, connections and exchange between two worlds, that of education and that of living science and technology. The House, a real prototype initiated by the French Academy of Sciences and led nationally by the foundation La main à la pâte, aims to promote a science education among primary-school and secondary-school teachers and pupils who will soon become citizens. In order to cover the entire territory, the House is also located in Blois and Tours with its two satellite centres and is also developing its activities on various university, industry and school sites.
