An ATHENA team attended one of the biggest professional fairs for industry and technology worldwide

From 17 to 21 April 2023, ATHENA will be present at the Hanover Fair 2023 in Hanover, Germany, one of the biggest trade fairs for industry development worldwide. Coordinated by University of Siegen, ATHENA contributes as one of 19 exhibitors to the joint stand of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the federal state of Germany in which Siegen is located.

At the fair, five ATHENA partners will showcase different exhibits on IoT, robotics, and smart sensing. In addition to University of Siegen, Polytechnic Institute of Porto, University of Maribor, University of Orléans, and Carinthia University of Applied Sciences will be present.

A variety of offers for companies

The exhibits draw attention to ATHENA’s main research fields: automation, digitalisation, and sensor technology. The five universities will display examples of projects, technologies, and products to improve the human experience of work. A special focus lies on the interaction between humans and machines.

By participating in the Hannover Messe 2023, ATHENA has a unique opportunity to directly reach out to international business stakeholders and promote its offers to industry. Companies can use the ATHENA network to establish new contacts for joint research and benefit from further training offers for their employees. Moreover, they get access to a large pool of highly skilled international students and graduates, e.g., through ATHENA’s project and internship platform PRAXIS. Finally, companies are also welcome to join the ATHENA Career Service and actively contribute to various initiatives to prepare students for an industrial career and the international labour market.
